Waiheke Whisky offers a unique experience at their distillery, located at THE HEKE on 64 Onetangi Road. Visitors can enjoy cultural and educational tours and tastings on the 8-acre property. The distillery is open every day during summer and from Thursday to Monday in winter, starting at 12 noon. The site features a brand home and visitor center, combining hospitality and manufacturing, where guests can explore their love for whisky, beer, wood-fired food, and classic cars. The brew house, home to Waiheke Brewing Co., produces a range of craft brews to complement the whisky tastings.

The distillery is family-friendly, welcoming kids and dogs, and features a play area with picnic tables, a bouncy pillow, and a mini HEKE kitchen for mud pies. The Boilermaker bar, a beautiful cocktail bar, is purpose-built to showcase Waiheke Whisky and is available for pre-booked tastings and private functions.

The HEKE kitchen serves thoughtful food throughout the day, with vegan and vegetarian options available. The HEKE bar offers a perfect spot to enjoy whisky, with self-guided beer and whisky tastings and an extensive cocktail menu.

EcoZip Adventures is a state-of-the-art flying fox zipline and eco-immersive forest walk experience that is perfect for nature lovers of all ages .

The adventure begins with a complimentary pick-up from the island's ferry terminal at Matiatia Wharf or from Oneroa Village bus stop if you're already on the island. During the journey to the site on Trig Hill, you'll enjoy a "mini-tour" of the island. Upon arrival, you will be checked in, geared up, and readied for one of Auckland's most eco-friendly activities.

The adventure includes three 200m dual flying fox ziplines that will fly you smoothly side-by-side with a partner, friend, or relative down into a stunning tract of original and regenerating native 'bush' (forest). It's a scenic interpretive walk back to base, where you'll learn about local flora and fauna and the conservation of our spectacular natural environment. With a choice of drop-off locations afterward, you'll have plenty of things to do on the island.

The adventure is priced at $139 per adult and $79 per child. Family passes are also available for $357 and are valid for 2 adults & 2 children (aged 15 & under) or 1 adult & 3 children. The adventure includes a complimentary pick-up from Matiatia Ferry Terminal or Oneroa Village, a fully commentated Waiheke Highlights Tour, and an easy-going guided nature walk exploring ancient native forest.
